0 Kanye West and Jay-Z Form New Group ‘The Throne’

Rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z have announced that they are forming a new group titled “The Throne,” for their upcoming collaborative album Watch the Throne, which is due in stores this August. Additionally, the pair have announced a 24–date tour across the United States in support of the album. Watch the Throne’s first single, “Otis,” officially went on sale today (July 25th), for fans to order the deluxe version of the album on iTunes. The album, which was recorded in London and Bath in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Paris and New York City, features productions by Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, The Neptunes, and Mike Dean. Vocalists on the album include Curtis Mayfield, Frank Ocean, Beyoncé, and Mr. Hudson. Watch the Throne is due in stores on August 8 via Roc-A-Fella Records, Island Def Jam/ Recordings/Roc Nation.

0 50 Cent And Jay-Z Are Strictly Business

50 Cent has noted that he is willing to work with Jay-Z, but that they will never be friends. The rapper explained their relationship in an interview with MTV News.

“It’s not like we have something against each other to make us enemies. Me and Jay will use each other. Repeatedly. For energy.”

The 35-year-old rapper added: “These people [like Jay-Z] are people I associate with. We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason.”

50 Cent and Jay-Z reportedly ended their prior beefs at the Jay-Z and Eminem concert at Detroit’s Comerica Park last year. Fiddy would not, however, elaborate on the content of their conversation.

“We got a chance to kick it for a minute. I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z,” the rapper adds.
